Remember that solar eclipse last year? Since
then I’ve constantly been experiencing small
eclipses in my life. Moving day is coming up
in about 2 weeks. So much stuff is left on
the street and picked up, shuffled through
the grid of the city from one apartment to
another. Most of my furniture is from the
street, almost all from other apartments on
my block. I’ve never met the former owners
but I’m sure I brush shoulders with them
without realizing it. A few years ago my
ex-girlfriend took my favourite mug to
renaissance. Somehow, Alexa ended up with it
a year before we started dating. When I found
that out I thought it must have been
impossible, but when two lines are anything
but parallel they eventually hit each other.
Similarly, a broken clock is right twice a
day, but a fast clock is never right. My
advice? Better to stay still and let
something bump into you. Look around and what
do you see? Woven pairs, intersections, a
latitude and longitude cross. It’s the right
place and the right time.
